Our Training

  • Our journey together begins with a friendly phone consultation where we'll discuss your concerns and get to know your dog better. We'll learn about their background, including whether they're a rescue, their age and breed, and if they have any furry siblings at home.

Next, we'll schedule an in-person assessment where we observe both your dog's behaviour and family dynamics. During this session, we'll explain the reasons behind any behavioural issues and outline practical solutions. Sometimes, we can address concerns right away through demonstration and guidance. For more complex cases, we'll recommend either our comprehensive 5-session training program or our convenient day training service, tailored to your specific needs.

  • After your initial assessment, we'll discuss the best training path for you and your dog. We offer a few different options to suit various needs and budgets:

    • Individual Sessions: If you'd prefer to take it one session at a time, individual 1-hour sessions are available for $250 each. This offers flexibility, but please keep in mind that consistent training is key for long-term success.

    • Training Packages: For a more comprehensive and cost-effective approach, many clients opt for one of our training packages:

      • 5 x 1-hour sessions: This package is $999 and provides a solid foundation for addressing most training needs. It offers better value than booking individual sessions and allows for consistent progress.

      • 3 x 1-hour sessions: This package is $699 and is suitable for addressing more focused training goals or for clients who have already done some training with their dog.

We'll recommend the most appropriate option for your situation during the assessment. We'll consider your dog's specific needs, your lifestyle, and your training goals to help you make an informed decision. We want to ensure you get the best possible results while staying within your budget. Remember, investing in your dog's training is an investment in a happier relationship and a well-behaved companion for years to come.

  • While it might feel at times that some dogs are beyond repair, the reality is that every dog has the potential to learn with the right approach tailored to their individual needs. Factors such as breed characteristics, previous experiences, and the training methods employed can all impact a dog's ability to learn.

For example, some breeds are naturally more stubborn or independent, which can lead to challenges during training. Additionally, a dog's past experiences—whether positive or negative—can significantly influence their responsiveness.

It's important to remember that patience and consistency are key in training. Using positive reinforcement techniques can motivate a dog and build their confidence.

No dog is truly impossible to train; they may just require a different approach or more time to understand what is expected of them.
